I have a wedding to go to that is themed by the zoot suit era. Need a sexy dress!!?

Please help my husband is standing in a wedding and they are wearing zoot suits. Now I am not much of a dress person but need something like a cocktail dress or a sexy woman’s version of a suit. But i have no idea where to look. i am willing to buy it online and I have already looked at some vintage shops and I don’t want anything loose fitting. Please help I don’t know where else to look.
Please not the flapper dress i dont want to much stringy stuff hanging from me. A little is ok but i am even looking for a dress that starts at the knee on one side and draps long on the other?? seen them on dance shows too i think?

Zoot suit era is LATE 1930′s to 1940′s. No flapper styles, that was the 1920′s. Most 1940′s womens dresses were conservative and very fitted in the waist.
