Coral really came onto the scene in a very big way in the home decorating world. However, it’s a very strong color. It can be very feminine at times because it seems to be a mixture of orange and pink paint. However, you can really make this work in your space so that it doesn’t overtake your room.

We are seeing this color a lot on actual coral sculptures, motifs, and artwork. It’s even a great color for more of a beach inspired fabric. Gone are the days of very cheesy and literal seashell wallpaper. Instead this fun accessory can really make a big impact in an all white space and it’s even funky enough to use in a teenagers room.

You can also turn this into quite a formal space. In this case, you may just look for a lot of Queen Anne style furniture but paint it white. This can be a little bit daring because oftentimes this can be some of the more expensive furniture that you can buy but you might also be able to find it quite inexpensively at thrift stores if you do a little bit of hunting. Then you could just paint your walls in this very saturated color but the white furniture is going to be a welcome relief in your room. You might want to just add more of a vintage effect by using plain white anaglyptia wallpaper on half the room and installing a chair rail just so that the bright color doesn’t really overwhelm the entire space.

You can also really use this on the permanent fixtures of your space, although it will need to be quite sparingly. You might be able to find a mosaic glass backsplash that will really implement this color. You might want to make sure that there’s a good mix of a lot of other neutral tones or metallics in with this just so that it is a little bit more lasting.
