What Type of vintage Camera and Projector to buy?

My boyfriends birthday is coming up soon. He is very much into independent film and wants to get into filming himself. I was wanting to get him a vintage film camera/ projector that he can kind of mess around with and get into filming. I know that some types of film are no longer made so I’m wondering what type of video camera I will need to get him that still has film available for either of us to purchase. also… what would I need to buy in order for him to be able to put his footage on the computer so that he can edit it?
okay… how about just an easy to use vintage camera / projector. the computer editing isnt necessary.

No vintage camera will allow your husband to put video on the computer – especially not in the format or resolution he will want to use. Your best bet is to get him the best professional camcorder you can afford. If not, get him the best HDV consumer camcorder you can purchase.
