Good thrift stores in San Jose?
My friend and I are planning on going vintage clothing/thrift store shopping, but we don’t know the best places to shop. I’ve heard great things about Black & Brown and something with Unicorn in its name? I know there’s always good will, but I’d like a more refined boutique, where we’re guaranteed to find at least one nice piece. So give me the name of a couple stores, along with the address, and a small review would be great. Thanks so much!
As with all vintage and consignment shops, you’re never guaranteed to find a nice piece. My all-time favorite vintage store in San Jose is Park Place Vintage. They sell both vintage and reproduction clothing, along with housewares, hats and other accessories. Black and Brown is alright, but it’s really hit or miss there. Once, I found a beautiful pair of Miu Miu pumps! Haven’t had any luck there since. I’ve heard good reviews of Time Zone Vintage, but have never shopped there myself. Lastly, there’s Moon Zooom, which is down the street from Black and Brown. They sell mostly costume-y clothing and specialize in 50′s, 60′s, 70′s, and 80′s clothes. I’ve found a few 50′s dresses there, but not much else. It’s pretty big and fun to explore, though!
