I have purchased some vintage aluminum cookware, any home remedies to clean and polish it back like new?
Lots Of Elbow Grease:
Remove baked on grud by placing in self cleaning oven ;following oven settings for cleaning; use steel wool and Mothers polishing cream(available @ Walmart or any automotive store) a coating of wax after polishing will prevent oxidation.
Remove stains and discoloration-fill cookware with hot water and 2 tlb of ream of tartar, bring solution to a boil and then simmer for 10 minutes;wash and dry.
Another method is blasting with Walnut shells-leaves beautiful-shiny satin surface-20 minutes.
