Humiliating gym moments in front of women?
Exhibit A:-
On a treadmill at the end of a row of 9 others, all empty. Flagging, I saw footage of Tim Henman during his vintage years doing the old ‘fist pump’ routine. Being a fan, I replicated this in much less subtle fashion. Then as I glanced around me, behind a row of 10 cross trainers were all full, mainly women, all smiling or laughing or looking at me like a leper.
Exhibit B:-
My headphones on whilst on the exercise bike (note – connected to gym’s radio). Take That’s “Rule the World” came on and I burst into song. quickly realised I was singing aloud and next to me were two women, one of whom works next door to me. Similar instances have been witnessed to Kula Shaker’s “Govinda” and KRS-One’s “Sound of da Police”
Any one else?
These examples (as well as a complete lack of fitness) are why I avoid gyms.
