What is the best place to check the value of design and vintage clothing?

I really do not know anything about labels or design of time, but I'm helping someone sell clothes and handbags on eBay used to be supposed to be a designer / vintage / ie, two (an old purse that says Gucci coat of Peck and Peck, some sweaters and dresses Izod Lacoste tennis, etc) and want to be able to verify its authenticity, age and the value before listing them. Does anyone Can you recommend some good sites or other means that I can see?

I suggest checking ebay where you could see if someone is selling to get Approximate cost or go to the page designer to see what they sell.
