How do I repair this purse?

I have a vintage purse that I love, but here’s the problem, hope I can describe it well enough:
The purse is a velvety material all over, and that fabric ‘tucks’ into a hard plastic frame that opens by a clasp.

you need some thin wire like used for screens . open the mouth up and fold the purse over to the side parted this will give you slack . tuck it in and shove in the wire just like a screen on a window . might have to use a hammer to force it in . i think i have the same one . the mouth is like brown with black mist . and brass henge’s .i hate the handles .
