Nokia 6151: 3G Technology With a Vintage Outlook
Nokia mobile phones are long known for their simple design and easy to use interface. However, with the passage of time and advancement in mobile communication technologies, mobile phone applications started to get a bit more complicated. Their latest offering – the Nokia 6151 is an attempt to bring in simplicity in both design and functions, despite being loaded with many cutting edge technologies such as 3G. One glance of the Nokia 6151 should be sufficient for anyone to conclude that Nokia is largely successful in their effort.
The Nokia 6151 maintains a simple mono-block profile in a sophisticated black casing. Other colour solutions are yet to be announced. The candy bar handset measures 108 x 47 x 19 mm, therefore is very comfortable to handle and operate with one hand. Its weight of 98 grams is decent for a 3G enabled mobile phone. The front fascia of the Nokia 6151 is dominated by its 262k coloured TFT screen. A well spaced numeric keypad and five way navigation pad makes it very easy to operate the mobile phone, keeping wrong presses to bare minimum.
As mentioned earlier, the Nokia 6151 boasts of embedded 3G technology that makes the handset a strong data connectivity tools. In favourable circumstances, the Nokia 6151 can achieve data speed of as high as 384 kbps. Non-3G mode of data connectivity includes GPRS, HSCSD and EDGE technologies. Managing your personal and professional emails, web browsing – all are possible right from the Nokia 6151. Local data connectivity for easy transfer of information with compatible devices like your computer is possible through Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP, Infra red and USB v2.0. The handset supports triband GSM mobile network for voice coverage across five continents. The handset’s feature list includes a 1.3 megapixel digital camera, a multi format supporting media player, FM radio and truly enhanced PIM system – all aimed to make your experience with the Nokia 6151 a pleasurable one.
