looking for vintage watch?

I am interested in buying a vintage watch, however I do not have a great deal of knowledge about old watches. So where can I get more information about vintage watches? How can I identify reputable dealers, who sells authentic vintage watches, Tissot, Omega, Cartier,and Rolex. Is it possible to get a vintage watch under 500.00 dollars from any of these manufacturers?

I recommend going through a REPUTABLE auction house that insures the items it lists as authentic. Sotheby’s is one example. The vintage watch market is flooded with fakes or heaviliy refurbished models that often have next to no authentic parts in them.

You may see prices under $500 for Tissot or Omega. The condition of these watches will probably range from poor to fair. Authentic Rolex or Omega will be much higher.
