Gibson Les Paul Alternatives?
Hey guys, I’ve just started playing guitar, but unfortunately my encore electric guitar isn’t so great, and I’ve borrowed an amp until I can get my own.
Basically I love the shape of the Les Paul guitars, but I’m a little confused by the alternatives to buying a real Gibson, because I don’t have a couple of grand for a guitar.
I just wondered what is the difference between the “Epiphone Les Paul Special II”, the “Epiphone Less Paul 100″ and the “Vintage V100″?
Also, any advice on a cheap amp for a beginner would be, obviously I don’t wanna break the bank, and I’m not in any position to be playing extra loud right now.

The “Epiphone Less Paul 100″ is the better of the three you mention but, an Epiphone Les Paul is an Epiphone Les Paul and the more you spend the better the hardware and the pickups are. If there is anyway you can afford it, You should really consider getting a Hagstrom Swede instead. It’s a better made, more playable and more versatile sounding guitar.
