Where can I find vintage countertop tile in the Los Angeles area?
We live in a very old home and need to replace our kitchen sink, therefore we will lose some of the old tiles around the perimeter of that area which was probably original to the house. So I want to replace tiles with an antique style design. Looking for 4 x 4″ tiles. I can drive anywhere in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Orange counties. Thanks.
What do you mean by antique style design? What year? Are the tiles flat, bumpy surface, multi-color, or ? Are they ceramic or porcelain? (If they’re porcelain, make sure you get the proper equipment to cut them)? Home Depot is a good place to start, I’ve found hexagonal tiles, small porcelain tiles, and other tiles appropriate for restoring houses from the early 1900′s. (And I’m extremely picky.)
