Is fox fur supposed to shed?I just bought a stole on ebay and its shedding?

I bought a vintage fox stole on ebay and the fur sheds on my clothes. Is that supposed to happen with fox?

With older fur as time goes by… not being stored properly, spraying with perfume, being around smoke and many other reasons cause the pelts to become dry and stiff. when pelts become this dried out the fur starts falling out. you can try and get it cleaned by a professional furrier (never a dry cleaner) and ask them if this will help i am sure you can get it cleaned for $25 or so… maybe even less for a stole. but they will be able to advise you more or you can buy a newer one on ebay. personally i would say just get it cleaned and see how it comes out. i just bought my gf a black fox and a rabbit jacket for vday and her black fox jacket shedded all over her car seat when she wore it. i just think it happens when the fur becomes older. you just need to get a lint brush i guess… i bet you look great in the stole. maybe next time go for a darker colored jacket… i love my gf in her black furs…

ps… its def. not fake… fake fur doesn’t really shed that much…
