What is Civil War Repro Fabric?
I have acquired large amount of my grandma’s fabric. A lot of it is vintage and some modern. Fabric is all high quality and I am trying to sell some of it. I am learning about fabric and am wondering how to identify civil war repro fabric. I see it sells well as fat quarters and have not had much luck selling fabric by the yards.
Fabric was my Meme’s who had a sewing store in her basement. Fabric was folde inside out and put in sealed bins it is in ownderful condition. Well i have sewing patterns going back to 50′s so i am sure fabric is from 50′s to now
civil war repro fabric is usually reds browns and tans with small print that would be of interest to quilters who want to make copies of quilt patterns from that era. You will usually see different styles in quilt magazines and catalogs. If you have any quilting friends that get catalogs you can look thru them and get an idea if what you have looks like what is advertised as repro.
