Engagement Ring Princess Cut Help?
I have a budget of 4000 – 4500 on the loose diamond and 1000 on the setting. I want to get a princess cut diamond and was curious what type of color, quality, cut, carot, and setting I should get to fit within that budget.
For example, should I get a 1.0 Carat diamond with a G color, VS1 clarity, and a very good cut or get a .75 carat diamond with a color F, VVS1 clarity, and a signature ideal cut? I was also considering a vintage or side-stone setting with a white gold metal.
I have no experience with diamonds and would like to hear some opinions on what would look better, 1 carat vs .75. The woman this would be for has small hands and is very petite.
Thanks.
it all really depends on if she likes big rings or not. but youve also got to consider if you a few good size stones on it and shes petite it might overpower her…which is good on occasion, it just all depends. the ppl at the jewelry store will have better knowledge for you.
