An Elf On The Shelf – A Holiday Tradition
Assuming you have young kids, they’re most likely already becoming fired up thinking about Christmas and all that it brings with it. The Elf on The shelf is an excellent Christmas tradition to bring into your home. Yes, your children will find it irresistible but in all probability you’ll find they behave much better than usual, as they will believe that the Elf is going to be reporting back to Santa, which can only be a positive thing.
It’s a wonderful book to read with your children when it’s time for bed and will definitely get everyone into the festive mood. The concept behind the tale is that Santa needs to find out whether a child has behaved or not before he brings all of the gifts on Christmas Eve. So Santa sends his Elf down to keep an eye on the youngsters in every house. The Elf rests on the shelf (or mantlepiece or kitchen table) and after watching over the youngsters each day, comes back to Santa every evening to report on their behavior. It is key to be sure you shift the Elf about because he will lose his magic if the children find him in the very same spot each day. He is supposed to have already been all the way to the North Pole and back after all. The children can even register the Elf online and will be able to provide him with a special name.
The Elf includes a hardback book and a treasure box for your little ones to store their Christmas pictures and decorations in.
