If you are a collector of vintage Gibson guitars, you may be interested to know that in 1964 Paul McCartney Texan is not a replica cheap Epiphone. Entertainment recently Starbucks and Gibson guitars made a national contest for a chance to win a one-of-a-kind, hand painted limited edition Paul McCartney Epiphone Texas 1964, which is a replica of the guitar that McCartney to record "Yesterday and to perform the song on the Ed Sullivan Show. Epiphone McCartney consulted to ensure the historical accuracy of the guitar. Besides the hand-painted great price guitar, Epiphone McCartney has also signed three other Texans. The Grand Prize winner, Rebecca Voss, Minneapolis, Minnesota, said that after being informed of his good fortune: "I could not be happier to have this guitar with the signature of Paul. I'm a fan of life and means a lot to me. Thank you very much, and thanks to Starbucks and Epiphone guitars! "For the curious, Paul still owns and plays its 1964 Texan.
Coinciding with the assistance of Starbucks, on November 20, 2007, Gibson GuitarTown London auction on 62 unique hand-painted and signed Gibson guitars, including a guitar replica 10 foot Gibson Les Paul signed by Paul McCartney. The winning bid amounted to 60,000 pounds – about $ 123 000 and approximately one quarter of total income of the auction. The guitar, called "And the crowd goes wild", is decorated with colorful pictures of children waving their arms in the air. The body of the giant guitar Fiberglass is red with a black arm – also adorned with figures of child conceived by artist Rosie Brooks. Gibson giant – not a cheap Epiphone was presented to the public from June to September 2007, at London in London's South Bank by City Hall and attended by more than 2.5 million visitors.
Gibson has released the names of some other well known musicians in the UK who signed some of the other guitars-sized Gibson SG auction charity event. Among Participants included Ronnie Wood, Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher, Rod Stewart, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, Gary Moore, Mark Knopfler Slash, Brian May, Ozzy Osbourne, Kaiser Chiefs, New Order, Kasabian, KT Tunstall, Depeche Mode, James Blunt, and Roger Waters. However, if you want to add this collector part of his own – stop there – not available on eBay before. Once the auction and the winner was determined, he or she was forced to donate the guitar giant Great Ormond Street Hospital. There is no winner, Ari Goldberger, Epiphone has not been granted at a price, but a Gibson Les Paul Special signed by McCartney at the event. A plaque engraved with the name was Goldberger placed next to the guitar 10 feet now a permanent fixture on the history of vintage Gibson guitar. The ceremony took place December 7, 2007 as part of a Christmas fundraising. The event, organized Gibson GuitarTown London, raised money for charity three children – Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, The Prince's Trust and Teenage Cancer Trust.
