What should I wear to dress up as Georgia O’Keeffe for a 1920′s project?
In U.S. History we’re doing a project over the 1920′s. I’m writing my paper about Georgia O’Keeffe and I have absolutely no idea what to wear. I don’t have many clothes that would pass as vintage. My project is due tomorrow and I have no money or time to go buy an outfit. Please help!
She wore a lot of different styles throughout her life, so there are actually a lot to choose from. You could wear a black or white shirt with a black skirt or pants. Any kind of silver jewelry (especially southwestern) would add to the look. Or you could wear a blue denim shirt or jacket with blue jeans, or a chambray shirt and khaki pants.
Anything that is Southwestern, or alternatively anything that looks kind of Amish, would probably work. There are lots of pictures of Georgia O’Keefe online. Her husband, Alfred Stieglitz was a famous photographer, and took plenty of pictures of her.
