Shoulder pads: keep or remove?
I received a few nice blouses and dresses from my mom that were from the early 1980′s. They’re really pretty, but there’s only one problem: they have shoulder pads. They’re not so obvious that you can tell, they just broaden the shoulders slightly and add a little form. I go to high school and I’m worried that it’s just gonna look weird in a time where they’re not in style, but I don’t want to remove them to find out that there’s a lot of excess fabric. I generally dress in a mix of vintage (thrift store), casual (American Apparel) and designer (Calvin Klein), but are shoulder pads so outdated that it would be a crime to wear?

No if i were you id keep the shoulder pads actually they are very in right now and, like you describe your style they seem to go very well !! with your look so just keep them alot of ppl are wearing shoulder pads!
