Do you like or dislike the show on Disney Channel – “Sonny with a Chance”?

The bad; It’s copying the older styles of shows a little too much and that’s annoying (the coming to Hollywood to become famous theme is pretty out dated, and the style that the characters wear on the show for clothes is too vintage; vintage did come back in style but it is way too cliche, just like the theme of the show) and the jokes are pretty bad on that show, the main character of the show is annoying

I saw a couple of episodes, and it was intriguing, but at the same time rather washed out and boring.

The whole theme/idea is rather old. Same with every Disney Channel show…either kids come to a fancy hotel, an average boy goes to live in the White House, a “teen pop sensation” lives a double life as a superstar/average kid…you get the idea.

The props make it look rather cheesy, and again, it’s one of those shows within a show.

It seems like they’re running out of ideas, and possibly getting them from previous shows, or even their rivals…subtly of course.

I don’t know exactly what it is about that show that bothers me.
Maybe it’s the acting. Now I like Demi Lovato, but something about the way she talks irritates me, and they make Hollywood out to be this glamorous thing, which will make kids all over think that they can just post videos on youtube and become famous movie stars.

And all the characters don’t have very much depth. A rotten mean cheerleadereque wannabe star? Along with others, of course blonde…ex: Sharpay from Highschool Musical….

The story lines aren’t that good either.
Overall, I would say the show gets a 2.5 out of 5.
