Place for antique/vintage buttons in London?
I’m making a coat for my boyfriend’s 20th and I’m looking for the perfect buttons, he is quite quirky so something antique/antique looking (but not those typical nautical buttons).
I was thinking of checking Liberty’s haberdashery out but if anyone knows of any craft shop or market gems I’d love to hear!
(I know charity shops have lots of weird and wonderful things but I definitely want them all to match)
You didn’t say how many and what they are going on to, but I can think of one place which I think is still trading after the death of its founder:

Portobello Road is another place to try, or raiding elderly relatives’ button boxes (I have one!). Also, if you’re Up West at the Button Queen, worth trying out McCulloch & Wallis.
