What could be a history lesson rather than a collection of original vintage posters? The first thing you look at acquisitions of European shopping trip, plus a room full of vintage poster enthusiasts and developing more maintenance services. If all this interests you, then mark your calendar for August 20 22 and plan to attend the European edition of 12 posters vintage event in Fort Mason Center in San Francisco Preview.
Expect: lots and lots of advertising career original posters, wines and spirits, bicycles, motor sports and the French lottery. Expect: competent staff to guide you through the process decision and explain the context in which they are posters. Wait for prices between $ 300 – $ 8,000 for posters dating from 1876. Expect: A fun look into history graphic art.
What you will not see in the program: movie posters, rock posters, or reproductions
Whether or not to purchase a poster exhibition that will leave with a thorough knowledge of 1) what constitutes an original poster 2) why the posters are valued because they are 3) to preserve and management standards to original posters 4) How many posters have survived over 100 years
Be careful! Poster collecting is addictive. Once that history and see how color can transform your walls, which will become one of the people that measure and the measures re-space the wall trying to find a home another poster.
