This is the event of the year for poster collectors! East Bay Poster Dealer Vintage European Posters www.vepca.com  brings their extensive collection of over 1,000 original posters from Europe and the US for your perusal.  Admission and parking at the event are FREE. 

At the Wooden Duck Show, VEP will debut a recent find of posters printed in the 1960′s to advertise attractions at Disneyland.  These rare posters are treasured by collectors and are hard to find today in good condition.  They were printed using serigraphy, which features dense opaque inks that create a lush, saturated image.  Unfortunately, the dense inks are damaged easily over time, which is why the posters are difficult to find in mint condition today.

Advertising posters have been sought by collectors for more than 30 years.  Original posters have been sold at auction in the US since 1985, and are now handled by all of the major auction houses. Original posters range in price from $100-$300,000.  Criteria that affect the value of a poster include: artist, rarity, condition, and demand.  The VEP collection which will be on display at the Wooden Duck in April ranges in price from $300-$10,000.
