What does my mom think white people are going to do to my brother?
My brother recently brought a poster of Dr. Huey P. Newton (one of the Black Panthers). Well, he made the “mistake” of announcing (in the presence of my mom) that he was planning to take it to college with him.
She said “You aren’t taking a poster of some radical to college with you! Huey Newton fought admirably, but you are at a white university!”
she probably thinks that they’ll think he hates them or that he doesn’t like white people. and she probably doesn’t want her son to be alienated.
