What were Ghandi’s main achievements?
I have to create a poster, but i would like to explain what achievements he did. i have no idea what they were??? plz can someone help:))
He is considered the “Father of the Nation” by Indians as he led India’s struggle for independence from the British and the consequent formation of the world’s largest democracy.
He was dubbed “Person of the Century” by the majority of critics and commentators and runner up to Albert Einstein in the ranking by TIME Magazine as most influential people of the century.
He taught the world that moral high ground is the best way to counter might in some political situations and this inspired Martin Luther King, Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela (after he renounced violence) and Ang San Su Kii as well as many other heroes and icons
He gives all leaders an ideal of righteousness to live up to and is seen as a good role model even by the likes of Obama who kept a picture of Gandhi at his office at all times.
