Need help designing my bedroom?

I’m 15 and I’m redoing my room
i have a white and red bed set that i love and want to work with
i Love bold red and lime green and posters lots and lots of poster

haha this is kind of creepy… I’m 15 too and getting a new room in a new house, and I just bought a green wall color today and am also going for red accessories and posters. CREEPY.

I think if you really like posters, a good idea might be to paint the walls a very strong color and go with lots of black and white posters along with the colorful ones. If you frame them all with thick white frames, they will really stand out against the bright color. If you want to be dramatic, red is always a good choice (thought think it over because it is a strong color and isn’t right for everybody, especially if your room is on the smaller size). If you don’t want to go quite that bright, green should do the trick. But instead of a lime green, I think a more blue-based green would look a lot better if you’re going to have red accessories. You could paint one wall a bright green and the others a lighter shade of the same color (the color card things at paint stores are really helpful). Or, if you want it to be a little different, you could paint one wall with a pattern and leave the other ones colorful. Generally if your room is smaller it looks better with lighter colors, and if it’s bigger it can handle darker colors as well.

If your walls are bright, I would go with simple white furniture. Or you can do the opposite, with white or light walls and brightly colored furniture (My sister for example took an old desk of hers and painted it bright orange for her new room). If you’re like me, you could use a little lounge area in your room. I’m going to buy some bean bags or other cute small seating for when friends come over and for just relaxing. You can really add some creativity to your room with patterned pillows and curtains, cool lighting, rugs, or any other decoration, like wall decor. If you like music, you can hang some vinyl records on your walls, or hang up anything else that will express your personality.
