Everyone wants more traffic. But most do not know how to excel at one thing that will ensure that your site is blocked to traffic on a highway in Los Angeles during rush hour. That is not anywhere near enough marketing keyword search.

While reading an article do not make you an expert. But at least I can begin to let you know when you are looking for responsible search terms visitors. To tell you four of my sacred rules of thumb keyword search.

My first rule is simple. Not only the obvious keyword phrases. I know. This seems obvious. But apparently no.

For example, the "Easter Baskets" gets 120 searches per day deadline. 420.00 is against other pages.

Not insurmountable. But I like less of a challenge. Especially when "Custom Easter Baskets" wanted 109 / day and only 615 competitors.

See the difference a word does? Like the difference between lightning and the lightning bug, right? Since you get about the same number of searches nowhere near competition as many pages.

The following rule of thumb is to compare secret plural singular verses to see what is best. Since most when it comes to this webmasters tend to accumulate in the wrong choice.

Take the term "gold earrings" It gets 168 searches daily on all engines and has 1,540,000 competing pages on Google. While the "Golden Earring" gets 84 searches per day to 440,000 faces competitors. In other words, is less than a third of the competition through research. So we are on track. Best of all, "Italian gold loop earrings is used by 52 researchers every day. And just to push the 514 competitors upset. Or what might be called a slam dunk.

His third tactic is to enter in the keyword search of ripe fruit. Or what I call "orphaned words."

Ideally you are looking for terms Search with less than 1000 competing pages in Google to find an exact phrase. 500 or less is better.

Of course, the closest competing 10 pages you get for a search term, the higher your page face in the top 10. This is truly "orphaned words. Named due to negligence by their competitors.

So remember to leave the beaten track. As potential customers do.

Say you had a law lawyers in California. A term may have in mind is "criminal defense attorney." This brings us 131 searches, but faces competition of 1,450,000 pages. I'm not crazy about the odds. As the term is not really very focused.

Digging a bit I came to the defense that "the criminal lawyer in Los Angeles" has 85 searches per day. And not to beat 11.1100 pages. Not bad.

Deepen "criminal defense attorney in Los Angeles" is 84 searches per day. But only 575 pages of competition. Paydirt!

Again I went to a search term with a total of searches at least in the same ballpark as the generic term began. However, with only a handful of pages of competitors to process. It's rare that I can not. In fact, you'll find dozens of jewelry as extensive research in their universe of keywords.

Never forget that research market is the key factor that determines the success or failure of your niche site. Application of the basic rules how are you can help make smart marketing keyword optimized. Who in turn will help attract more traffic from search engines more easily. And the traffic is something everyone can use more, right?
