crackling microphone problem?
It took me a very expensive condenser microphone nt1a is only a year and just out of warranty. I know if I can fix the crackling sound made today while recording voice? If for example there is a patch that can give me a ballpark? I am to determine whether it would better go buy another or fix (sentimental value). Any help would be useful … worked very well for a year .. Now, even with two screens appear yet crackling me. This is not the software, because it has not changed … nothing has changed, but the crackling sound ..
Great mic! This microphone should last many years no problem. My first assumption would be a bad or dirty XLR connector or cable. XLR connectors should be cleaned occasionally with alcohol friction and q-tips and pipe cleaners. Use Q-tips for male XLR connectors and pipe cleaners for females. Clean the cable connector plugs into the microphone. If not repaired, may have a faulty cable.
