what has happened to the airline steward/dess profession? All they do is sell-pop,peanuts,smokes and alcohol.?
I know that cost cutting measures have involved the sale of meals and drinks. However, the staff does not stop from merely hawking food for parched and starving passengers who refuse to pack a lunch for themselves, they sell the pretend planes, pens, watches, and stuffed animals along the aisles.
The job used to be different, how times have changed.
These hardworking adults are now GAPS (grownup aisle peddlers) or GAHS (glorified aisle hawkers).
Pretty soon, there wont even be people, just machines to scan your credit card and drop your hot meal from the dispenser.
Thats life……. Times are bad and if they want to keep their jobs, they better be good at bringing in revenue to their employer. Besides, with all the lay offs, there’s a lot of competition for the jobs tey already have so its all about self preservation
