differential lock problems?
I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 2 wheel drive with differential lock. I enabled the differential lock and began to move when I heard a snap or pop noise metal. I disabled the differential lock and check the landing gear in case of visible damage. I have not seen anything unusual, so I'm back and went, but I realized that my differential lock is still engaged, even if the button is disabled. Could someone tell me exactly wrong here and how to fix it, or if you need a professional to fix it and if so how much would it cost? Thanks in advance … =) Also, I'm not looking Permin solution yet, now I'm just interested in getting freedom of pumping so you can at least drive.
Here s how to register electric work …. You have slots at the ends of the axles … There is a metal sleeve is still on the long side (passenger side) … When you flip the switch moves the metal conductor sleeve and locks the two shafts together … The damage is more likely that the axis of the wheel … The sleeve is soaked and often does not break … However, the grooves of the shafts mache … Sometimes it does not open because the grooves are twisted into a dead end … You drop to remove the axles and remove the site and check for damage the three components … There are four bolts that hold the axles in the box … The only thing that will keep pressure on the push for the new record … Not so difficult as it seems … No special tools required for outdoor wear or put back toghther … Only bearings on the axles of the emerging needs in support of … Not after Shaft available in the market that are stronger than actions.
