hitachi 50vs810 tv screen shuts off on its own with loud speaker pop?
My Hitachi 50vs810 screen will shut off on its own and the speakers will make a loud pop sound right as it happens. The blue power light will stay solid for a bit before it starts blinking and seems to take about 20 min before the set shuts off completely. Have had the TV for about 5 years. What issue could be causing this.
It does it very randomly right now but is slowly doing it more frequently.
Best guess: internal power supply problem, with the most likely culprit being one or more electrolytic capacitors going bad. It could be something else, but that’s a common failing on these sets, and it causes the kind of thing you’re seeing. It’s a job for a repair shop.
