granite stained right after installation?
We just had granite installed, right after installation granite acquired polka dot like stains (about 3-6 inches) presumably due to the adhesive that was applied to the bottom of the granite. Will these horrible looking stains go away? They are all over on all the counters. They popped up about 3 hours after they were glued to the plywood.
i work for a home improvement retailer, and i can tell you i have NEVER had a customer with this issue. so if they tell you it’s normal, they’re probably lying. i suppose there is a possibility that your fabricator/installer uses a different technique than mine. i would make them come back out on a service call, and possibly replace the top. use the BBB or whoever you can to ensure you get the service you deserve.
