Pop Chips

How does one “pop” a potato or corn chip?
‘Popchips’ is a new brand of potato and corn chips. According to the manufacturer they are not fried or bakes. The “popping” technique, which gets its name from the popcorn process, helps contribute to the lower calorie and fat content of the chips. If I want to do this myself, how do I do it?
I just looked at the site – It looks interesting, but odd.
If you read the blurb they put out, they say they use air and pressure, so I’m guessing it’s an extrusion process that forces the water out of the raw ingredients, and then uses hot air to cook them.
I could be wrong.
