I have some of the same style of Starbucks cups and honest, they rarely use, but when I do, wash them very carefully and I do not immerse in water. I would give them anyway and let them decide how they want to wash a very nice idea. I would find gently wash but no paper or images on the inside then it should be obvious beware of them anyway:) Dollar stores sell them as I saw for about $ 2 too!
