Ideas for Baby’s first birthday….?
My son will be turning 1 in May…how the time flies!
Of course I am excited to start planning this event even though it is not for a few months. However, the one thing I am worried about is the cake.
Everyone has pictures of themselves or their children as babies covered in frosting and chunks of cake, and I do not want to cut out that tradition. However, since my little one has had only formula and babyfood, all the sugars and “fake” incredients in the cake make me nervous. Most importantly, I don’t want him to get sick of off the sudden sugar intake, or anything else like the eggs or regular milk.
Does anyone have any recipes for “baby friendly” cakes? Maybe natural ingredients or better alternatives?

Your son will not have one idea that it is his first birthday. Don’t overdo it, he won’t remember it and too much will cause confusion and fussiness. A simple cupcake for him to mash his fingers in and play with and take a few pictures is sufficient. Save the big cake and party until age 3 or 4.
