none of my family came…?

i had an “open house” for my 14 year olds (boy and girl). i only invited my family and the invitation said “please do not bring gifts, or money, cards of congratulations only.”
NO ONE CAME other than my mother. the kids received a card from one of MY cousins a few days later. my kids are really hurt because when my youngest child graduated from kindergarten EVERYONE came (2 years ago). i mainy have the parties for fun, everyone has an excuse to get together and the kids get good pictures and fun cards… but i’m hurt and so are the kids. how would you handle this?
not send a baby announcement when our next child is born?
boycot x-mas get together?
not go to any of their events?
only send my mother and cousin a x-mas card?
