John Wayne Movie

I heard a phrase in a John Wayne movie, "north of Alaska?
One of its lines in the film was "you know what your Whodo that is what is aa "everyone knows what that means I think the word was in the CCR, s song" Born byyou "
I think the word you hear is "Hoodoo" – a fate or luck charm or something more general that can hurt you. It refers to African-American folk magic. And yes, the same word in the CCR "Born on the Bayou."
