How to clean a non-dry-clean jacket?
I was wondering how do I clean this trench coat I got. My friend puked on part of it and I want to get the stains off. It’s mostly cotton but it has a special carbon coating that makes it more stiff. I brought it to the dry cleaners but they texted me that the tag says
“Do not Dry Clean
Do not Wash
Do Not Tumble Dry
Spot Clean Only With Mild Detergent and Lay Flat to Dry”
They offered to wet wash it but i declined.
I’ve never really washed anything that wasn’t machine washable or dry-cleanable so I don’t want to damage the coat. The “Spot Clean Only With Mild Detergent and Lay Flat to Dry” is not really helpful to me so can someone give me detailed instructions on how to clean it?

Also, on the site it says “machine wash” but I the tag clearly says “Do not Wash”
You’ve read the label and asked a professional. Do what YOU want, but be prepared for the consequences.
