Can someone explain Patti Smith’s “Horses” to me?
I never understood what’s so “great” about this album.. and how influential it is. I just couldn’t get into it. I do like “Elegie” and “Free Money” from the album.
I’ll give u an idea of my musical tastes–mostly alternative:
Radiohead (geniuses)
Smashing Pumpkins
Sinead O’connor
Fiona Apple
I’ve also loved “classic” rock artists like
Pink Floyd
Joni Mitchell
we have very smilier tastes, I dunno perhaps you have to remember that at the time of the albums release it was very cutting edge and provocative.
