The happiness of a person even at the expense of the creation of sadness for someone else?

My friend and I talked, and said that "behind of every smile, a tear falls. "Take the classic example of a woman deciding to take a lover man, when his best friend was in love with her forever and is crushed that he chose someone else. She's not with friends and family, often making them sad. However, she and her new man is the happiest world at the moment. Is the balance happiness and sadness, so if one moves a person to happiness, others must move toward sadness, keep everything in balance? Or is it still the case?

Yes Everything is balance and symmetry. For happy there must be a complement and contrast for comparison. To find happiness, you must know the sadness. To feel the sadness you must know what happiness is long. Your joy is your sorrow for the absence. And your problem Your happiness is the absence (or what brought joy). We all know that goodness, because we know that evil. If there were no night, how could even design to name in the light of day? Day / night .. bad / good … Up / Down … beauty / ugliness …. good / bad ….. Two halves of a whole (as yin / yang) can not exist without the other and each exists on the other. They exist together, if at all. You're right, partly. However, do not necessarily apply to situations where a guy gets the girl the other wants. Leaving behind what you're missing home to be happy. It is also simply the fact that anyone can see others around you are happy (happy) and realize they are not. It is the basis of "relative deprivation" People can live happily in the poorest in the toughest conditions, provided the only always know. It's when you know or live among people who have better or more than what they have ….. feel they "want" … only then realize that "no have enough. "You can not feel deprived of something that nobody else has. There must be a basis for comparison. And no matter how many people are sad numbers vs people are happy. The capacity of each individual emotion / thought is perfectly balanced. (The two halves are not divided so that a person has a good half other and evil at all. The two halves are inseparable – that exist within each of us – always in the same proportion to each other) You can understand and experience a level of joy that is equal to the level of pain that you have understood and experienced (and vice versa)
