The Nokia C6 comes with a 5 megapixel autofocus digital camera which is supported by a dual LED flash and up to 4 times digital zoom in order to help produce the best image or video clip possible. The handset also features advanced messaging, web browsing and GPS capabilities through its simplistic user interface and resistive touch screen.
The handsets operating system is Symbian version 9.4 supported by S60 5th edition and features software updates, firmware update over the air (FOTA) and automatic user interface rotation thanks to the accelerometer which rotates the display for all applications, as well as the camera. The phone features a microSD card slot capable of storing up to 16 gigabytes of expandable, hot swappable storage memory for the user, along with the internal 200 megabytes of memory.
The phone has quad band EGSM and WCDMA and is capable of switching automatically between GSM bands while also offering a flight mode. It also features a wide range of data networks including CSD, HSCSD with a maximum speed of 43.2 kps, GPRS Class A and multislot class 12, WCDMA up to 3.8 megabits per second and HSDPA. Additionally, it offers WLAN Wi-Fi and supports both TCP and IP protocols.
The C6 has both GPS and A-GPS integrated receivers allowing it to offer a diverse range of location based services including automatic geotagging of photos and videos taken with the phones main camera, route planning and turn-by-turn navigation thorough Ovi Maps with lifetime updates also included. The accelerometer ensures that when the phones orientation is changed between portrait and landscape, the navigation is corrected likewise.
The handset offers great connectivity with Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR and support for both local and remote SyncML synchronisation, along with high-speed USB 2.0 via a microUSB connector. Meanwhile, there is also a 3.5mm stereo audio jack connection for headphones to allow the user to enjoy music stored on Nokia Music Player or live with the stereo FM radio with RDS integrated as well.
Many applications are included with this phone including an easy to use email client capable of providing email from all the popular email clients and also a free Ovi Mail account, also there are many useful widgets such as the Top contacts widget on the home screen which shows the users favourite contacts and integrates with various social networks including Facebook.
The Nokia C6 offers many great features through its touch screen and UI along with its full QWERTY keyboard which slides out from its elegant design providing great internet and connectivity possibilities along with a powerful 5 megapixel camera for photos and videos and location based services through its GPS and A-GPS.
