What is the most disturbing Dean Koontz novel?

I’ve always loved controversial and disturbing horror classic movies, so I thought i’d try some books. I just heard about Koontz. Which one should I read?

While I wouldn’t classify Koontz as a horror writer :) I’d say a disturbing one would be Midnight. It’s probably one of my favorites of his.
