If I’m only using it for gaming, should I get a PSP or a Nintendo DS?
I’m having a really hard time deciding which one I should get…. I like all kinds of games and I like the PSP’s graphics, but I like the DS’s load times, touch screen, portability and selection of games. I also have an iPod Classic so I don’t need the extra features on the PSP. Is there anything else I should think about? Which one do you think I should get and why? Thanks for your help!
Well, the PSP has a lot of advantages. It can play music, movies, and games. Like you said, the graphics, especially for movies are great. It’s almost like having a mini PS2/3. The DS also has some great properties, however it is rumored that Nintendo is in the process of making a hand held that will surpass the DS and rival the PSP in capability. If it were me, I’d hold out for the new “DS” in the works.
If you want to buy one now, I have to recommend the DS. There are a multitude of games and the variety is really starting to kick in. Yes, a lot of the games are based on old school Nintendo or kid games, but it offers decent load times and graphics.
I suppose it all depends on your age and gaming preference. If you like RPG, puzzle, strategy, raceing, or simulation games than the DS is for you. If you like more action involved games: sports, fighting, etc, than a PSP would be a better match.
