UGG cardy boots – can anyone help?
I’ve just bought some ugg cardy boots and they appear genuine in ever way. The ony thing is the inside label – its very different to the inside label in my other classic uggs which I know are definitely genuine.
Has anyone else noticed this? Does anyone know what the inside lable should look like/say? Any comments or pictures would be really helpful.
I paid £115 for them and i’ve checked them against all the classic fake signs and they seem genuine in every way – my only concern is the inside label as it is totally different from the inner label on my classic boots
Several months ago there was a court case over this. UGG boots is an Australian generic term for a particular type of sheepskin boot, a US company some time ago appropriated the name and registered it. After trading for a period( I cant remember how long, Years?) they tried in court to stop all the Aussie producers using the name UGG. It backfired and the court ruled that as the name had been in common use in Australia since the early 60s the company was not able to claim ownership of the name and anyone can use it. Hence many companies are producing UGG products legally. Truly Genuine UGG products are made in a small West Australian town.
Anoyher case of a greedy underhand company trying to claim ownership of something they have no right to. This time they were caught.
