How do i make a good free standing tower out of paper?
In my art class, we are in groups of 2 and the idea is to make the tallest free standing tower out of 2 pieces of card board paper, the largest in our class was 76″ and the highest me and my partner got was 61″. We’ve came in sencond and third ad now tomorrow is the final day and were looking for first. Is there any secret or creative way to make a tall free standing tower of just two pieces of card board paper?
make a thicker base, focussing more of your weight on the bottom of the tower. Then have a few smaller towers around the base propped up and pulling against the tower for more stabilty. DONT try and cut a base in the bottom of your tower and make legs, it will only make the paper weaker and will most likely not be perfect cuts, causing unbalance.
