Barefoot in wet cement.?
I’m doing a little project with my nieces, who are four and six years old. We’re going to make a couple of pieces of “rock art”, which are basically pieces of cement slabs that kids can make handprints in and decorate and whatnot. There were three kits in the package, so I’m making one with them.
My niece asked me if we can put our feet in the wet cement. I wasn’t entirely sure. There’s nothing in the directions that says you can’t go barefoot in it, but should we at least plan on not wearing shoes for a little while afterwards? I’ve heard wet cement makes your feet feel all funky, but that it’s not actually dangerous. Anyone have experience with this?
Go Ahead and do It!! But wash feet right after as the lime in the cement will dry out and crack the skin if left on.
