With a mausoleum of the emperor card, or a few of them, you can beat a beginner silly by adding a bunch of high levels.
Try not to draw yourself into a corner with too many spell or trap cards.
Keep a single strategy that isn’t to difficult to implement.
If you can add in more cards that will fit in to make a complex, effective strategy, while keeping the deck size at 50-, then you’re set.
Realize that with most advanced duelists, one deck will not beat them every time, most of them will use a side deck that can be used to mod the deck against most common strategies.
NOTE: I quit this game a year ago, nowadays, cards are being produced to quickly for me to keep track of. The game is also getting more “cheap”. I’m just answering this since these cards are relatively old.
NOW TO THE ACTUAL QUESTION:
5/10, 10 being a true master duelist and 1 being a beginner.
Focus more around a strategy, the card choice is pretty good overall, just remember that ‘making all your lvl 4- cards 1900′ isn’t going to work all the time (brute force deck, as i call it)
you run into trouble with Gora turtles (look it up) or gravity binds.
Nowadays, every card has an effect, sadly actually.
Try some new packs and go for your favorite type of deck, trap based, magic based (couple with traps), monster effects, Brute force (works better the mausoleum card), or element themed decks.
Best deck themes:
Chaos decks(dark+light) based around envoy of the beginning and end cards
LVL 8+ monsters horus, that dragon with the metal plates all over it, etc
God card decks (prepare for controversy over the effects of the each god)
–Frog’s solutions
I use a water/frog themed deck (you can tell why right?)
It’s actually very weak. Need newer cards since old water element cards are weak.
Tip: With any deck, don’t just use cards for that theme, example: Magic users will need monsters and traps that will let them set and use magic cards more effectively etc.
Lol, this could be a tutorial, i need to stop writing so much, anyway if you found this helpful, this is my website on programming games (basic ones)
